Students in Leroy's fourth grade are benefiting from the inclusion model by participating in centers along with rotating through small group instruction with the classroom teacher and special education teacher.  Wendy Rodgers, ARI RSS, lent her support to the instructors and students. 
     Fortune Sheffield, an ARI Regional Support Staff member, and McIntosh Middle School teachers analyze their latest student data and edit their data room accordingly.

School districts, such as Chickasaw City Schools and Baldwin County Public Schools, are taking advantage of the professional development provided by ARI RSS in the Foundations of Reading.   The updated modules can be facilitated individually to meet the needs of each school or district in order to promote literacy in our state.

     Region 10 is attending professional learning in Montgomery, Alabama, on the revised modules of the Foundations of Beginning Reading.  The modules consist of the five components of reading (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, & Comprehension), Intervention, Assessment, and the Conceptual Framework.
